What is it good for? Absolutely nothing, indeed. But the way it's explored in media can venture into the surrealism of the nature of war, as we see with the soupy morality of "Battlestar Galactica," zany hysteria of "Catch-22," and psychedelic horrors of "Apocalypse Now."
